    • Is it wrong to call an anthology of stories where many characters are horrible and meet grisly ends “fun?” I may be a sociopath because that’s how I would describe this book. The stories are all short, quick reads but I was able to quickly orient myself within each story and understand each batch of new characters well before the twist was revealed and the curtain (and bodies) fell. The book reads a bit like a “Twisted Tale of the Week” TV series, there is a lot of punchy dialogue and sudden twists, each episode feels unique but there are connective themes running throughout. I read the whole thing in one sitting and will probably reread some of the stories not too long from now. Am I a sociopath?

    • New Mastermind of Horror? Reviewed in the United States on February 15, 2022 Verified Purchase Deadly Beloved is a thrilling and "can't put down" novel. The short stories are all unique and original and tie in very well with the overall theme of the novel. It provided me some glimpses and flashbacks for the nostalgia of the "Tales from the Crypt" and "Creepshow" eras. Paul is a very talented writer and great story teller. I can't wait to see future material that Paul releases. Is there a new Mastermind of Horror in our midst??

    - I ordered this book for my mother to read over our week vacation at Long Beach Island. She refused to stop reading the book until she completed it, and refused to come out of her room for three days once done. Thanks Paul Kordich
